As expected, the official servers were deactivated by Wildcard last night and will then go live again for the upcoming new version ARK Survival Ascendent (ASA) at the end of October.
Message from Wildcard on Community Crunch 381:
For each newly released map on ARK Survival Ascendent (ASA) (with the new Unreal 5.x Engine), an additional creature is chosen by the community. The condition is that the creature fits the theme of the map. The following 10 finalists for the Extinction map are now available for selection.
Voting started today, on September 11, 2023, and you can vote until September 18. The winner will be announced as usual on September 22 in the Community Crunch.
The winner is the "walking battleship" Dreadnoughtus
The end of the official ARK Server Evolved network has been set for September 29, 2023 at 13:00 PST / 16:00 EST. From this point on, the official servers will no longer be available, and new servers (from Nitrado) for the new ARK version called "ARK Survival Ascendent" or ASA will go online in October (provided Wildcard can meet the deadline for the major upgrade, but the official servers will be shut down in any case).
With over 39,000 votes, Shastasaurus will be the new creature added to The Center in ARK: Survival Ascended. We look forward to sharing its concept and dossier in the coming weeks!
