In December 2020, the world of the Video Game Awards unveiled a trailer announcing "Ark: The Animated Series," a show that brings the universe of the cult game "Ark: Survival Evolved" to life.

With a star-studded cast including Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Michelle Yeoh, and Vin Diesel, who not only shines in front of the microphone but also serves as an executive producer, this series promises to be an epic adventure.

Under the creative direction of Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczak, accompanied by talented writers Marguerite Bennett and Kendall Deacon Davis, and with Jay Oliva at the helm, navigating the series through 14 thirty-minute episodes, viewers will dive deep into a world shaped by dinosaurs, mysterious technology, and unexpected alliances.

In June 2022, the production reached a new milestone with the addition of Monica Bellucci and Dee Bradley Baker to the voice cast, and the excitement continued to build at the end of 2022 when a new trailer revealed Gerard Butler and Russell Crowe not only as part of the cast but also as executive producers. Gareth Coker, the master of musical accompaniment, adds additional depth to the series with his soundtrack.

With Jay Oliva as the showrunner and Kendall Deacon Davis as the lead writer, "Ark: The Animated Series" is ready to capture the hearts of fans and solidify the game's legacy in the world of animation.

Story

Helena Walker, an Australian paleontologist in the 21st century, becomes a grieving widow after the death of her wife, Victoria. One night, after drowning her sorrow in pills and wine, she suddenly wakes up in the middle of a vast ocean. After fleeing from a large, attacking shark, she is soon washed up on a strange beach. There, she befriends a wild dodo, only to discover that he was being hunted by a human tribal hunter named Bob. After realizing that both of them arrived in this world in the same way, Bob teaches Helena the art of survival.

With this strange new world, filled with dinosaurs, alien technology, and warring tribes, Helena will do whatever it takes to survive and hopefully find a way back to her own world.

Geoblocking

European and other international viewers will have to wait at least 30 days before the series becomes available on official channels. It's a shame that Wildcard or Paramount is wasting so much money here, as a few hours later, hundreds of download sites offer the first 6 episodes for download in good quality. Many ARK fans outside of America and Canada would have gladly invested a few dollars. Shit happens!
