ASA: Postponement to October 2023

Ark Survival Ascended

As expected, the release date of ARK Survival Ascendent (ARK 1.5) has been postponed to October 2023. The delay from August to October had already been largely anticipated by the community, and it remains to be seen if October will eventually turn into December.

Statement from Wildcard in the Community Crunch 365 from July 1, 2023

After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone the release of ARK: Survival Ascended to a later date this year. The game will now be released in October 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Working with Unreal Engine 5.2 has proven to be a challenge, but at the same time, it has been extremely fascinating. Every day, we discover new possibilities to take the technology to a higher level. Combined with the efforts required to support a fully cross-platform, modifiable game ecosystem on both consoles and PC, it is clear that we need some more time.

Furthermore, we have decided to decouple the release dates for The Island and Scorched Earth. Based on the insights we have gained from remastering The Island, it would not be feasible to complete Scorched Earth to a standard that we are satisfied with. Therefore, we plan for Scorched Earth to be released in December of this year for ASA, followed by Ragnarok and Aberration in the first quarter of 2024. The remaining maps will be released subsequently.
